Welcome to all who, in their grief, seek
healing and transformation. . .

               Hi, I'm Claire Perkins and The Deep Water Leaf Society: Harnessing the
          Transformative Power of Grief is a chronicle of my own journey through grief
          after losing my son, Cameron, in 2004. My healing journey has shown me that the
          greatest loss I've ever experienced has also become the greatest gift I've ever
          received.

               More than a story of loss, The Deep Water Leaf Society is a story of hope and
          transformation. And it's not just my story, but can become your story, too.

               My hope is that the tools and processes that allowed me to emerge from my grief
          more at peace and filled with gratitude than ever will empower you to create the
          same kind of transformation in your own life.

               My intention is for The Deep Water Leaf Society to grow beyond the book into a
          community - a borderless affiliation of hearts and souls bound by the shared human
          experience of grief and by the knowledge that we are so much more than lost, lonely
          souls experiencing a few brief years on this planet. We are like leaves floating on the
          surface of a very deep pool of mystery and magic. Underneath our surface experience,
          we are infinite beings of light, eternally connected by unbreakable bonds of love.

               And so it is with an open heart that I invite you not only to read The Deep Water
          Leaf Society, but to join this new community so that you might begin to plumb the
          depths of your own existence as you find your own path to healing and inner peace.
